Much as we enjoy getting down and dirty in the relegation quagmire, I’m reaching for the stars this week with my Asian Handicap Betting picks.
Chelsea and Spurs both think they can win the league, betting odds tell us the Blues are probably right, and Liverpool, the most enterprising of the chasing pack, need to win to keep their Champions League hopes on track. None of the three has a gimme this weekend though…
Manchester United vs Chelsea (April 16, 23:00 GMT+8)
Chelsea have responded from a shock reversal to Crystal Palace by dispatching Manchester City and Bournemouth in some style, while Manchester United, unbeaten in living memory can’t buy a win at home. Antonio Conte will be as animated on the touchline as ever, while Jose sneers. Grab the popcorn everyone, the coaches alone will be worth watching.
This looks like a draw to me at odds of 3.05 for a 🌟🌟 bet.
Tottenham Hotspur vs Bournemouth (April 15, 19:30 GMT+8)
Spurs are desperate to keep Chelsea within range and have been in tremendous form, winning the last five at home, while the Cherries have failed to win away over the same period. Eddie Howe’s team has almost certainly done enough to earn another season in the top flight, but the way Spurs blew Watford away last week it could be a torrid afternoon in London for his boys.
For a 🌟🌟 bet, Spurs to be in front at half-time, with a -0.75 handicap, is at 1.98.
West Bromwich Albion vs Liverpool (April 16, 20:30 GMT+8)
The Reds are unbeaten in six, including two grubby wins against tough opposition in Stoke City and Burnley, while the Baggies, normally so reliable and up in eighth, look like they may already be on the beach with back-to-back defeats and no win in three. Tony Pulis will drag them back to reality but Pool has the momentum.
