Mark Hughes has improved Southampton but given the Saints have only three fixtures remaining, they must take something from Goodison Park to maintain survival hopes.
If other results go against them, they could even kick off this game at the foot of the table.
That, psychologically, could be damaging but, equally, they could be out of the drop zone by the end of the day.
Despite some unjust criticism from fans, most Evertonians will surely appreciate boss Sam Allardyce has helped them rise from 18th to eighth place in the table since he was appointed in late November.
In this, their final home match of the season, I will go for a 🌟🌟 tip of First Half 1X2 Everton @ 3.75 and 2 x 🌟🌟🌟 tips of First Half over 1.00 goal @ 2.21 and Over 2.50 goals @ 2.19.
Arsenal vs Burnley (May 6, 23:30 GMT+8)
Sixth versus seventh and there’s no question that it’s the side in seventh place which has had the most successful league season.
For Sean Dyche has all but guided Burnley to their first foray in European competition in 52 years.
Indeed, the Clarets would actually play a qualifier on July 26 – obscenely early considering the World Cup Final will be just 11 days earlier.
But enough of that for now.
Dyche’s fine achievement will be marked in Burnley’s final home game of the season.
This contest will all be about Arsene Wenger’s Emirates farewell.
Whether Arsenal have reached the final of the Europa League or not, the Gunners must give the Frenchman a fitting home send-off.
