Liverpool’s Football Betting Fans back their Heroes to the Last

‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ will reverberate around Anfield on Sunday as the passionate Kop try to sing their heroes on to Champions League qualification.

Jurgen Klopp’s team is so, so close but the one nagging doubt is that it has lost six league football games to the bottom-half opposition this season. If they fail to qualify, that will be the one and only reason.

WEEK 38 SUNDAY:

Liverpool vs Middlesbrough

Surely they can’t slip up against Boro though? Steve Agnew’s team has mustered just five wins this season and you won’t find many betting tips suggesting they’ll make it six, and certainly not here! But Boro can play without fear while the tension at Anfield will rise if they can frustrate. Remember…they got a draw at the Etihad.

Watford FC vs Manchester City

City areas good as thereafter thumping West Brom in midweek, and will travel to Watford determined to cement third place. It’s not a disaster for Pep to finish third in such a competitive league but he’ll want more next season. Watford lost their fifth game on the run against Chelsea on Monday but gave the champions a game at 4-3.

Chelsea vs Sunderland

Antonio Conte will deservedly lift the Premier League trophy on Sunday and what better way for the best team in England to close the season by playing the worst? Twenty-five defeats from 37 games say it all for David Moyes’ sad Black Cats. It’s a rebuild at the Stadium of Light next year but this will be Chelsea’s day.

Hull City vs Tottenham Hotspur

Boss Marco Silva has won plaudits for his efforts to keep Hull up. He recruited well and fought hard, but the Tigers are exactly where he found them…in the bottom three and now down. Spurs are the bridesmaids again in Chelsea’s wake but have become big challengers and Harry Kane could still win the Golden Boot.

Manchester United vs Crystal Palace

What an odd game this promises to be, and believe in or not, Manchester United are not odds on to win at home to Palace, only safe last week after beating Hull! It’s a battle of the pragmatists; Big Sam has guided the Eagles to safety while Jose Mourinho’s team only took two points from four games as he focuses on Europa. This has low scoring draw written all over it!

Southampton vs Stoke City

The Saints have finally taken over eighth place, after playing out a 0-0 with the Red Devils and Claude Puel can be congratulated on a good season in which his team also reached the EFL Cup final. Stoke are without a win in four and this is a decent chance for Puel to finish the season on a high.

Swansea City vs West Bromwich Albion

Crystal Palace’s win over Hull, last week, means Swansea are safe when that looked unlikely just two weeks ago. Paul Clement has managed to do what Marco Silva hasn’t and that’s worth a fortune. The Baggies have been safe since September and have been on the beach for so long they’re in danger of sunburn!

Leicester City vs Bournemouth

A top half place is up for grabs at the home of last season’s champions. Recent wins against Watford and West Brom has seen the Foxes safe while Eddie Howe’s Cherries have taken ten points from the last four games, with striker Josh King in scintillating form.

Burnley vs West Ham United

Sean Dyche will get the Freedom of Burnley having steered the Clarets to another season in the top flight, without appearing in the bottom three since the opening day of the season. Slaven Bilic has not had so many plaudits as the Hammers have struggled, but the winners here could finish 12th.
