Premier League Transfer Rumours
The World Cup occupies the minds of most fans that are passionate about the beautiful game. However, there are also events happening all over the world that shape the things that show up in our favourite football news sites.
There’s still a full month before the English transfer window fully opens while the World Cup hoopla is still at its peak, so it’s understandable that not everyone is interested in club football at the moment.
However, English clubs are already making moves in order to strengthen their squads and turn future Premier League betting odds in their favour. The best football league in the world have clubs that are ready to pay good money for the sake of acquiring the best talents in the world. I have no doubt that whatever transfer buzz will prop up in the coming days will not pale in comparison to the drama and action Russia promises this summer.

Liverpool: Karius Out, Donnarumma In?
It’s no secret that Loris Karius’ performance at the Champions League final made him a hated figure at Anfield. It wouldn’t surprise me if some even wanted to skin him alive after the numerous errors he made against Real Madrid.
There are calls among the fans for the disgraced keeper to never play for the club again, and buzz surrounding the Reds’ goalkeeping position is getting louder by the day. Among the favourite names being propped up by fans and pundits alike include Roma’s Alisson and Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak.
The biggest favourite to replace him is currently AC Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma. The 19-year-old successor to Gianluigi Buffon is being desperately shopped around by the club in order to meet Financial Fair Play regulations. It is reported that the club is more than open to accepting £35m for the keeper, almost half of their original £61m asking price.
Liverpool are understandably interested in landing the keeper, but multiple clubs are surely going to give chase after the player got such a mark-down in fees.
However, Liverpool legend Bruce Grobbelaar believes Karius should be given another chance: “They gave me two years of second chances, so why can’t they give him a second chance after one game? They should keep him in the spotlight from next season. First game back, get him back as soon as possible.”
Jurgen Klopp has built a reputation of trusting his players, so it is interesting what he will do with this Karius situation.
Chelsea: Can the Blues get Lewandowski and Lemar?
Chelsea won the FA Cup but are disappointed that they didn’t even put up much of a fight in their futile attempt to win back-to-back Premier League titles. A considerable factor in their poor title defence was Alvaro Morata. While he did score 11 goals, he was far too inconsistent for many of the Stamford Bridge faithful.
Given this, Chelsea are looking to acquire Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski. It is somewhat understood that the Russia-bound Poland striker is going to leave the club as the Blues declared their interest on him. However, Chelsea will have to contend with Real Madrid and Juventus, meaning that a hectic summer is in store for Lewandowski and his suitors.
Meanwhile, Thomas Lemar is also targeted by Chelsea’s top brass. The France international and versatile Monaco midfielder is reportedly getting offers from the Blues as well as Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham.
Chelsea have a lot of powerful rivals for their targets. Can Roman Abramovich dig deep enough into his pockets and snag these two for his club?
Manchester United: Ready to make a splash for Bale
Manchester United scored a lot during the past Premier League season, but their failure to consistently find the goal definitely cost them a chance to push Manchester City to the limit. Jose Mourinho is reportedly frustrated with the scoring situation at United and is ready to chase after some attackers.
Marko Arnautovic is one of the attacking solutions Mourinho is chasing after. The West Ham attacker has been a blessing for the Hammers. His goals were important keys that helped David Moyes and the club escape relegation.
However, the shiniest name in Mourinho’s shopping list has to be Gareth Bale. The Real Madrid winger reminded everyone just why he was once the most expensive footballer in Kiev, and Mourinho is more than sold on the former Tottenham star.
There are reports that the Red Devils are more than happy to meet the outrageous £85m fee for the Welsh star. He is also set to become one of the club’s top earners as the club is more than happy to cover his wage demands.
This move will be great for Bale and United if it falls through. Everything is now up to the suits of the respective clubs if such a deal will push through.
