Football Bets on North London Rivals to focus clearly

Three points, no less will be accepted by Spurs and Arsenal fans this weekend. The two proud clubs have been rivals since time began, but they need to focus on the real prize and forget about each other.

On Saturday, it’s three points and betting tips say both will be successful. But in the longer term, what do Mauricio Pochettino and Arsene Wenger want? Spurs surely yearn to lay the ghost of choking at the death last season when many football betting pundits expected them to chase down the Foxes. For Arsenal, it’s silverware, and dropping out of the top four for the first time in two decades is unthinkable.

WEEK 21 SATURDAY:

Tottenham Hotspur vs West Bromwich Albion

Dele Alli and Harry Kane, along with wing-backs Kyle Walker and Danny Rose, are fast becoming the hottest prospects in the EPL. And with class oozing through the team it’s no surprise Spurs have won six on the bounce. West Brom are having a great season and won at Southampton when last on the road, but getting a result at the Lane would be quite a coup.

Swansea City vs Arsenal

Paul Clement takes charge as Swansea’s third coach of the season and his first tasks are to face Arsenal and Liverpool. Then he needs to find a goal scorer if Fernando Llorente goes, as expected, to Chelsea. Arsenal are uncomfortable in fifth and will surely put these relegation candidates to the sword.

Hull City vs Bournemouth

The Tigers unveil their new coach, Marco Silva, and will desperately hope he can do something with the league’s most threadbare squad. Hull are in a desperate position – rock bottom. Bournemouth’s Eddie Howe was criticised for making 11 changes and losing an FA Cup tie to League One club Millwall. So the talented Cherries will be keen help their boss.

Burnley vs Southampton

The cauldron of Turf Moor awaits a Southampton team bereft of confidence since Charlie Austin’s latest injury, and the Saints are on a three-match losing streak. So a trip to hostile Burnley where five of the last six visitors have been dispatched would not be high on Claude Puel’s wish list.

Sunderland vs Stoke City

David Moyes is the last manager standing in the bottom four; and his chances of escape rest heavily on his ability to bat away approaches for his only goal threat, Jermain Defoe. Stoke sit happily in 11th but this is a fixture Moyes will be targeting.

West Ham United vs Crystal Palace

After a January defeat to Manchester United and then an FA Cup 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Manchester City, West Ham will expect to get back to winning ways against 17th-placed Crystal Palace. Big Sam Allardyce is back in his familiar role of avoiding relegation but is yet to get a win with the Eagles. Could this be the year Sam flops?

Watford vs Middlesbrough

The Hornets need to halt their slide down the table and come up against Aitor Karanka’s dogged Boro, in 16th place and only three points and two places behind Watford. Hmm…it might worth a bet on this game but I wouldn’t advise watching it!

WEEK 21 SUNDAY:

Everton vs Manchester City

Losing to Liverpool and struggling to beat Burnley upset Pep Guardiola but his team responded in the Cup by hammering the Hammers. Everton have stuttered for a while but did win their last home game 3-0 against Southampton and this is a big test of City’s title credentials.
