The Imps acquitted themselves well in the first and held out until Theo Walcott fired the opener in injury time. An own goal and strikes from Olivier Giroud, Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey completed the rout, but the 9,000 Lincoln fans can be very proud.
Spurs 6-0 Millwall
Mauricio Pochettino’s men went one better against Millwall, a remarkable feat given the visitors were unbeaten in 17 and had conceded just a single goal in the last ten. Heung-min Son scored a brilliant hat-trick, but the sight of Harry Kane limping off in the first half was not a happy sight for Spurs fans.
Middlesbrough 0-2 Manchester City
City coasted through to the last four almost unnoticed, scoring twice at Middlesbrough (one more than usually needed to beat Boro). David Silva opened proceedings on three minutes and as City dominated Sergio Aguero made it two with a quarter of the game remaining.
