Dare You Bet Online Against Super City Now?

Manchester City went five points clear at the top of the Premier League last week and that sent shock waves through Manchester, Liverpool, and London.

Sports betting pundits have been queuing up to back Manchester City for a Premier League triumph…already!

Sure there are 29 football games to go, 87 points to play for, but in the league and the Champions League, the Sky Blues’ form has been frightening. And if results go with them, the leaders could stretch their five-point lead further this weekend.

WEEK 10 SATURDAY:

West Bromwich Albion vs Manchester City

Tony Pulis’ best chance of stopping City is to use a Carabao Cup ball, according to Pep Guardiola. The Sky Blues have been sweeping all side but couldn’t score against second-tier Wolves in midweek, having to rely on penalties. Watch Pep smile if his superstars hit a hatful at the Hawthorns!

Arsenal vs Swansea City

Nine points from four games have lifted Arsenal to fifth, special mention when they played with a potent threat to dismantle Everton last week. In Alexandre Lacazette and Alexis Sanchez they have a rich supply of goals, which will be a worry for the Swans, struggling with just one win and a draw in the last six.

Liverpool vs Huddersfield Town

I fear a backlash could be heading Huddersfield’s way after Liverpool was thrashed last week by Spurs. Jurgen Klopp still hasn’t got his back line sorted so there is some hope for the Terriers, who breached Manchester United’s defence twice last week to end a six-match winless streak.

Watford FC vs Stoke City

The Hornets have been outstanding in their climb to sixth and were unlucky to lose to a late flurry at Chelsea last week. These are worrying times for Stoke though. Mark Hughes said his team’s slow start was down to a tough fixture list…then they lost at home to Bournemouth.

Crystal Palace vs West Ham United

Following the demise of Craig Shakespeare and Ronald Koeman, the vultures are circulating around Slaven Bilic, whose team sit outside the drop zone on goal difference alone. Palace were the first club to change coach and Roy Hodgson will expect his Eagles to get their second positive result of the campaign.

WEEK 10 SUNDAY:

Bournemouth vs Chelsea

Eddie Howe was mightily relieved to get his second win of the season at Stoke and that has lifted the Cherries to within a single point of the safety line. Chelsea have been unconvincing so far, losing three and struggling to beat Watford last week, so Bournemouth will sniff an opportunity here.

Brighton & Hove Albion vs Southampton

It’s all smiles on the South coast where Brighton are exceeding everyone’s expectations so far; the veteran Glen Murray bagging a brace to hammer the Hammers last week. Southampton have made a stuttering start to their campaign but are starting to settle in the top half of the table.

WEEK 10 MONDAY:

Leicester City vs Everton

Two caretakers are in charge at the King Power as Michael Appleton hopes to continue his winning start with the Foxes. David Unsworth is a popular choice with players and directors for a permanent position but he needs to get his expensive Everton players moving…and quickly.

WEEK 10 TUESDAY:

Burnley vs Newcastle United

The managers will be in the spotlight at Turf Moor, where the much admired Sean Dyche meets the ever unsettled Rafa Benitez. Talk of job offers and takeovers needs to take a back seat though as Burnley and Newcastle both aim to build on a strong start.
