Arsenal vs West Ham United
Arsenal welcome West Ham to the Emirates on Sunday, and everyone concerned with the Gunners will be dearly hoping for a regulation, and relaxing, win.
Losing last weekend to Newcastle was a blow to Arsenal and to many online betting players; and as football games come thick and fast, there is no let-up.
At betting odds of 1.55 on a home win, there should be no slip-ups. However, the Gunners have been decidedly flaky, at times, this season. Also, with the Europa League their only chance of Champions League football next year, the Premier League may not be such a high priority.
Arsene Wenger’s team could even be seventh when they welcome the Hammers as Burnley play earlier in the week. Surely that would be too much for the Emirates faithful to take, but three defeats and three wins in the last six league games isn’t the sort of form to give you great confidence.
With just 11 goals, Alexandre Lacazette is Arsenal’s top scorer; but it’s at the back where Arsene has his biggest problems. The Gunners have conceded 45 goals in the league, too many for a top side.
Five points from three games have lifted the Hammers to within a win of safety, in all probability. And they do carry an aerial threat in leading-scorer Marko Arnautovic and the returning Andy Carroll, while Javier Hernandez—with eight league goals—can be a real handful.
And David Moyes would love to inflict a little pain on a top six (or seven) side.
