It’s a big battle to beat the drop!

Darmstadt have already waved the white flag, but it’s not quite over yet for the likes of Ingolstadt and Hamburger SV as they eye to give online betting one last twist in the fight at the bottom.

Both teams need to win their remaining football games – and wish that the Mainz and Wolfsburg lose theirs – in order to survive. If they can’t, the live betting fun in the German top flight will be over for them.

WEEK 33 SATURDAY:

SC Freiburg vs Ingolstadt

Ingolstadt buckled up in the face of relegation, and their aggressiveness paid off as they have drawn their last two including a goalless stalemate with Leipzig. Freiburg are inconsistent opponents, even losing to Darmstadt by three goals, so this might be the best hope for the hungry bottom feeders to live and see another day.

If you’re punting, Ingolstadt Draw No Bet @ 2.11 isn’t a bad bet to make.

Mainz 05 vs Eintracht Frankfurt

Frankfurt won the Rhein-Main derby in their first meeting this season, and there’s nothing stopping them from doing so again with the O-Fives in a freefall and still in danger of relegation. It shouldn’t also help Mainz that they have only one win in ten, with their latest a goalless draw with co-bottom team Hamburg.

Schalke 04 vs Hamburger SV

Speaking of Hamburg, their 16th place might not cause them an automatic drop to the second division, but they surely won’t want to do the playoffs and risk their place in the top flight. It’s not looking good for them though as they failed to win in four while their opponents haven’t lost at home for three months now. With that said, Schalke -0.50 @ 2.07 seems like the best choice.

Werder Bremen vs Hoffenheim

This one should be an exciting affair between two European hopefuls – one aspiring for Champions League and the other for the less-heralded Europa League. However, playing at Weserstadion should give the eighth-placed River Islanders some advantage especially that all losses of the Sinsheimers came on the road.

RB Leipzig vs Bayern Munich

Although this fixture will hold little meaning, Leipzig will be determined to show Bayern that their reign in Germany won’t be long. Of course, that’s a big and difficult statement to make given that the Bulls have struggled a bit lately; nonetheless, it’s not that hopeless considering that Bayern are more vulnerable as seen in their uninspiring 1-0 victory over Darmstadt.

This meeting could go either way, but with the handicap, Leipzig should be a solid choice on +0.50 that pays at 2.00.

Wolfsburg vs Borussia Monchengladbach

A win will guarantee safety for the Wolves and that should motivate them to secure all the points here. Their meeting with Gladbach could be tricky, though the fact that they already defeated the visitors last December should provide them with a boost of confidence.

Bayer Leverkusen vs FC Koln

Anthony Modeste bagged a brace on Saturday’s opener, and he could be peaking just at the right moment as the Billy Goats aim for European qualification. The struggling Bayer Leverkusen—who only won once since March—shouldn’t also pose much of a challenge after losing their usual flair on the attack.

Augsburg vs Borussia Dortmund

Their victory over Hoffenheim might be controversial, but don’t expect Dortmund to surrender the third place easily.

Augsburg tend to perform well against teams in the Top 3; however, with their defence still an issue, 28-goal man Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang should have all the chances to score and perhaps, bring his tally to 30.

Darmstadt 98 vs Hertha BSC

As useless as this fight may seem, Hertha need every point they can get to get back to fifth place. Their recent slump, which saw them drop six of their eight matches, won’t be encouraging, but their hosts are Darmstadt who have nothing left to play for.
