Nobody expected this huge sports betting upset!

San Antonio Spurs 114-75 Houston Rockets

Live betting fans were anticipating the sixth game between the San Antonio Spurs and the Houston Rockets to be a close fight to the finish at the very least. With Tony Parker and Kawhi Leonard out for the game, many were expecting an easy win for Houston at best and a close fight at worst.

However, many betting websites were surprised when the final score at the Toyota Center was an unbelievable James Harden’s collapse and the rise of LaMarcus Aldridge and Jonathan Simmons pulled the Spurs through to clinch the series and focus on bringing down the Golden State Warriors.

The Beard is the alpha and the omega of the Rockets offence. As long as he’s producing, Mike D’Antoni will always be able to draw up plays that will help him win the series. However, both Harden and his supporting cast forgot to put on their sneakers as they only made 28.6% throughout the game. Their poor shooting, combined with their mediocre defence, spelt nothing but horrors for Houston fans.

Harden was nothing but a guy to fill the numbers for the Rockets. He only tallied 10 points to go with his 7 assists and 6 turnovers. His shooting was also an abysmal 18%. Trevor Ariza’s 20 points were the highest for the depleted Houston side.

Meanwhile, the Spurs kept on showing basketball fans why they are still the standard all basketball teams should look up to. Gregg Popovich easily replaced Kawhi Leonard with the fantastic Jonathon Simmons. The seasoned vet did the dirty work Kawhi was doing and then some. He ended the night with 18 points, 4 assists and a steal.

LaMarcus Aldridge was the difference maker after he showcased the talents that got the Spurs clamouring for his signature during the 2015 offseason. The 31-year-old Texan scored 34 points on 61.5% shooting, snagged 12 rebounds and got an assist and a steal.

The San Antonio triumph was surprising but expected of basketball fans. The Spurs are the only ball club that continues to defy normal basketball logic year after year. We can expect a thrilling Western Conference Finals as the Silver and Black prepares to duel the Golden State’s high-flying Dubs.
