NBA: Celtics, Raptors Aim to Take Commanding Lead

The Celtics and the Raptors are rolling in the NBA postseason. So far they have dominated their counterparts and they aren’t showing any signs of slowing down.

They both have 2-0 leads over the Sixers and the Nets and they will be keen on pushing it to 3-0 as they get back into action once again in Disneyland.

Elsewhere, the Nuggets-Jazz and Clippers-Mavericks matchups are both level with one game apiece. These four clubs have exchanged blows so getting any sort of cushion will be much needed.

SBOBET brings you tomorrow’s set of postseason matches.

Toronto Raptors vs Brooklyn Nets

The Raptors’ NBA 2020 odds of advancing to the second round are looking greater by the day given on how well they’ve played recently.

The defending champions are coming off of a 134-110 win against Brooklyn, and they did so by playing stingy defence and sound offence.

Toronto have been particular in slowing down Brooklyn’s Caris LeVert, who has been carrying his team’s offence.

Prior to the playoffs, the swingman averaged 25.0 points while shooting 48-per cent from the field in six seeding games, continuing the momentum he’s built prior to the coronavirus-mandated hiatus.

But against the Raptors, LeVert is only averaging 15.5 points while shooting at a putrid 28-per cent. He is making up for it though by dishing out 13.0 assists per game.

The burden of carrying the load will continue for Caris LeVert especially with Joe Harris leaving the bubble. The Nets sharpshooter left due to personal matters and he is expected to miss the next two games.

Betting Tip: Toronto Raptors Asian Handicap -11.00 @ 2.00

Denver Nuggets vs Utah Jazz

Donovan Mitchell continues to be the marked man for the Nuggets’ defence.

After scoring a career-high of 57 points in the first game, the high-flying guard followed it up with a 30-point outing to guide his team to their first win of the series.

Mitchell noticeably became the decoy and the facilitator in the second game. He got his teammates involved early and it paid off big time when they notched a 124-105 win in Game 2.

In the said game, the Jazz shot 19-for-33 from three-point range and 36-for-62 from the field during the first three periods. They also had 32 assists and only six turnovers.

Their defence was better as well in Game 2. Nikola Jokic may have had a 28-point, 11-rebound effort, but his teammate in Jamal Murray was held to only 14 points after scoring 36 in the opener.

What’s even better for Utah is Mike Conley will return to the lineup after missing two games for the birth of his son.

Meanwhile, Denver are undermanned with Will Barton (knee) and Gary Harris (hip) out.

Betting Tip: Utah Jazz Asian Handicap +1.00 @ 1.95

Boston Celtics vs Philadelphia Sixers

The Celtics have been mauling the Sixers with their perimeter-based attack. In the first two games of the series, Boston outscored Philadelphia 87-42 from the three-point range.

Their perimeter-oriented assault is being led by the young wing duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, who have averaged 32.5 and 24.5 points per game. Kemba Walker, meanwhile, has averaged 20.5 points per contest.

Even without Gordon Hayward, who suffered an unfortunate ankle injury, the Celtics have had their way against the disappointing Sixers.

The Sixers have been leaning on to the big shoulders of Joel Embiid especially with Ben Simmons out, but he will need a lot more help from his other teammates.

Tobias Harris and Al Horford have yet to hit their stride in this series. Harris shot poorly and only had 13 points while Horford added only four markers in 22 minutes in Game 2.

Philadelphia would need to find answers – and fast as they are in danger of being shown the door early.

Betting Tip: Boston Celtics Asian Handicap -4.50 @ 1.83

Los Angeles Clippers vs Dallas Mavericks

Luka Doncic has been a godsend for the Mavericks. His all-around play led Dallas to draw level against the vaunted Clippers.

The Slovenian international is enjoying his first-ever playoffs. He scored 70 points in the first two games of this series while producing so many NBA 2020 highlights.

Only the late Hall of Famer George Mikan had more points (75) in his first two playoff games than Luka Doncic.

Dallas were 0-4 against Los Angeles prior to their wire-to-wire victory against them last Wednesday.

In Game 2, the Mavericks picked up the slack when Luka Doncic was in foul trouble.

Backups Trey Burke, Seth Curry, and Boban Marjanovic helped by pouring in 44 points on 19-for-28 shooting, while Kristaps Porzingis bounced back from his Game 1 ejection by adding 23.

Meanwhile, the Clippers turned the ball over 15 times and Paul George shot badly from the field – ending up with only 14 points on 4-for-17 shooting.

Moreover, Paul George expects himself and the team to bounce back as they try to take a 2-1 lead tomorrow.

“We expect a tough matchup and a tough challenge, but the good thing about it is we’re up for the challenge,” said George.

Betting Tip: Los Angeles Clippers Asian Handicap -5.00 @ 1.96
