Any basketball fan worth his salt is definitely baffled with the way the Houston Rockets have been playing as of late.
The team that almost took out the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Playoffs are now at the bottom of the league. Of course, there’s still a lot of time before the season is actually over, but whether Houston gets the homecourt advantage is up to the wins they rack up throughout the season. The way they are now, they might not get the privilege of playing at home come the playoffs.
Fortunately for us, Houston’s misfortune isn’t the only thing we can watch. If you’re looking for more NBA 2018 highlights, there are plenty of interesting games to catch!

With the Cavs uncertain with what to do in their second post-LeBron era, many supporters will find themselves frustrated for hours on end before they finally find some stability by appointing a new head coach. In the meantime, the Cavs will have to prepare themselves for another stinging game against Kemba Walker and the Charlotte Hornets.

This match, which could be a possible fixture come playoff season, is another exciting one to watch for many basketball fans.
There isn’t a definitive scoring leader for the 6-2 Celtics as neither Kyrie Irving nor Gordon Hayward has averaged more than 20 points per game. However, what has transpired is brilliant team ball that sees six players scoring in double digits.
Meanwhile, Victor Oladipo is changing doubters’ minds about his game when he showed up against the New York Knicks despite being under the weather. The Indiana hero is showing with his 22 points that his fantastic game last season was no fluke. Regardless of the final score, Oladipo will make the Celtics work for their W.
Miami Heat @ Atlanta Hawks (November 4, 07:30 GMT+8)
The Hawks will be coming into this game with the full knowledge that they will most likely lose against the Miami Heat. After all, they lost against a surprisingly productive Sacramento unit the last time they played at home.
Moreover, the visiting Miami Heat team is composed of established league regulars who will be playing quality basketball against this young, ragtag Hawks squad. However, the memory of Trae Young‘s 35-point outing against the Cavaliers will always be on the back of everyone’s minds.
Houston Rockets @ Chicago Bulls (November 4, 08:00 GMT+8)
I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that the Rockets have lost their edge over the summer. Many didn’t expect that a team with a reigning MVP will be struggling this much out of the gate.
Some may point to Carmelo Anthony as the biggest parasite to Houston’s effectiveness, as the former Syracuse star has only scored 13.2 points on 37% shooting over the last six games. However, Mike D’Antoni insisted that their lack of swagger coming into the season is what cost them these losses.
Whatever their problem is, they need to sort it out immediately. I wouldn’t be surprised if GM Darryl Morey will be making some moves if they lose against a young and incomplete Chicago Bulls team.
New Orleans Pelicans @ San Antonio Spurs (November 4, 08:30 GMT+8)
The Pelicans are sorely missing Anthony Davis‘ production as they lost their last three games in spectacular fashion. They can expect more of the same when they face the San Antonio Spurs without him, but we can be sure that Jrue Holiday and Nikola Mirotic will do everything they can to stem the tide before AD’s return.
Meanwhile, things are going swimmingly for DeMar DeRozan‘s first year as a Spur. The Compton native is already the team’s highest scorer at almost 28 points a night, and his presence is also felt off the ball. If Davis does not show up for this game, there’s no reason for DeRozan to dominate.
Utah Jazz @ Denver Nuggets (November 4, 09:00 GMT+8)

I’m not sure if LeBron James’ 27.8ppg can carry the Lakers to a win against another tough Western Conference opponent. After all, the King himself knows that he won’t likely win the championship with this year’s Laker roster.
He might as well try, in my opinion. After all, there’s nothing to lose and everything to gain if they manage to steal Portland’s thunder. I don’t think Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum would allow that to happen on their watch, however.
