Backs-to-backs Make for an Exciting Round of NBA!

Out of the eight games in the NBA tomorrow, five will feature teams playing their second of a back-to-back. Hence, betting odds will undoubtedly be tight given that there’s a little bit of uncertainty in play.

Cleveland, Orlando and Brooklyn had it bad in the first game—with the Cavs even losing Kevin Love to injury—so they will hope for the best this time around. Meanwhile, New York and Portland will look to build on their momentum and delight the live betting faithful.

Memphis Grizzlies @ Indiana Pacers (February 01, 08:00 GMT+8)

Although their last meeting ended close, sports betting pundits expect this one to be one-sided. Memphis have officially shut down Mike Conley for the rest of the season, so everything is about developing their youngsters now.

With that said, Victor Oladipo and the Pacers have every opportunity to sweep the season series and solidify their playoff place in the East. Go for Indiana -7.00 @ 2.00.

Los Angeles Lakers @ Orlando Magic (February 01, 08:00 GMT+8)

Orlando have been better, but they tend to falter in close matches as seen in their loss at Indiana where they blew out a 21-point lead. The Lakers, in contrast, have been solid defensively and have shown flashes of a bright future, even taking down the Celtics and Pacers as they won four of their last five.

Charlotte Hornets @ Atlanta Hawks (February 01, 08:30 GMT+8)

Seeing Kemba Walker play the entirety of the second half in their loss to the Heat just showed the Hornets’ lack of depth. They did beat Atlanta twice this season, but they can’t let their guard down especially with the Hawks growing more and more confident after bagging some decent wins earlier this month. I like the chances of Atlanta winning on +2.50 @ 1.90.

Philadelphia 76ers @ Brooklyn Nets (February 01, 08:30 GMT+8)

Back-to-back losses had the Sixers barely clinging on to the East’s eighth seed, so they need a win now more than ever. Brooklyn forward Jahlil Okafor would want to stop his former team from getting that precious W, though the Nets’ lack of firepower won’t put his hopes up. Picking Philadelphia -7.00 @ 1.95 is a no-brainer.

Miami Heat @ Cleveland Cavaliers (February 01, 08:30 GMT+8)

Love’s injury is a huge blow for the Cavs as they need to find someone who can fill his 18 points per game. Having a lineup that features LeBron James and Isaiah Thomas still looks pretty good, but Miami are no pushovers considering that they are sitting at fourth and only one game behind Cleveland in the East.

New York Knicks @ Boston Celtics (February 01, 09:00 GMT+8)

The Celtics’ defence has been up and down lately, barely winning against the Nuggets and losing to the Lakers. Their bench has been bad as well in the absence of Marcus Smart, so the Knicks could well exploit their inconsistencies. Moreover, the fact that New York already defeated Boston even with Kristaps Porzingis having a cold-shooting night should add more to the Knickerbockers’ confidence.

I predict a close encounter here, but New York on +8.50 @ 1.90 seems a good bet to make.

Chicago Bulls @ Portland Trail Blazers (February 01, 11:00 GMT+8)

Damian Lillard continues to show us why he’s an All-Star, so Portland’s matchup with Chicago should just be another day in the office for him. The Bulls have lost four straight and aren’t expected to put up much of a fight with Kris Dunn and Lauri Markkanen out.

Dallas Mavericks @ Phoenix Suns (February 01, 11:30 GMT+8)

Dallas may not be winning a lot; however, they have shown plenty of guts and potential as they played out some close matches in recent weeks. If they can stay consistent and aggressive on the offensive end, it’s not far-fetched for them to get their revenge on Phoenix who are also struggling and lost five straight.
