It was a great Durant show sports betting fans loved

Cleveland Cavaliers 91-113 Golden State Warriors

Online betting fans expected the first game of the 2017 Finals to be a victory for the Golden State Warriors. After all, they have all of their main guns ready to fire in front of an adoring Oracle Arena crowd. Betting tips favoured them to win Game 1 by a slim margin.

What many didn’t expect was the point differential the Dubs won against the Land by the buzzer.

Kevin Durant was an unstoppable force for Golden State, earning 38 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. His shooting form was red-hot, be it inside or outside the three-point line. Stephen Curry was also amazing in the scoring department with his 28 points and 10 assists. Their heroics were more than enough to push the Dubs through.

The Cavs’ stars didn’t underperform by any means: LeBron James had 28 points, 15 rebounds, 8 assists and 2 blocks while Kyrie Irving had 24 points to go with a block and a steal. Kevin Love shot poorly but ended the game with 15 points and 21 rebounds.

Cleveland got beaten in the bench department: Richard Jefferson’s 9 points were the highest among the supporting cast, who shot for a combined 7-for-31 in the court. Meanwhile, the Warriors enjoyed contributions from almost everyone on their roster. GS interim coach Mike Brown also did well in forcing the Cavs to chuck up a lot of misses and destroy their rhythm.

If there’s any nitpicking that must be made about the Dubs, it has to be about the offensive efficiency of their other two All-Stars. Klay Thompson and Draymond Green had horrible shooting nights, scoring 6 and 9 points respectively. While Draymond Green did well in the rebounding department, their abysmal shooting could have been their team’s downfall if either Durant or Curry were missing their shots.

Both Brown and Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue have a lot of adjustments to make before Game 2. I’m pretty sure if the Cleveland would allow another blowout loss like this to happen, while the Dubs want to build up momentum for their games in the Q.

Fans should expect brighter sparks to fly the ball flies up in the air for the start of Game 2.
