Leicester City vs Chelsea
Antonio Conte knows this is a big game. He takes his title favourites to the Champions this weekend and everyone outside Leicester fully expects him to win.
Our Asian Handicap Betting odds agree.
With Liverpool facing a tough battle at Old Trafford, this is a real chance for the Blues to extend their lead at the top. But those pesky Foxes spent the whole of the 2015/16 season making fun of betting tips and wrecking the hopes of the poor Premier League giants.
And Claudio Ranieri has just won the FIFA Coach of the Year in Zurich, quite rightly.
Leicester surprised Everton in the FA Cup last week and, having taken four points from the last two games, now have a six-point cushion from the drop zone. But the Foxes need to maintain some momentum in the second half of the season, with three bottom-end sides already having changed their boss.
Chelsea are hoping to end their one-match losing run, and this is probably a good time for Antonio Conte to take his team to the King Power Stadium. Leicester’s Islam Slimani and Riyad Mahrez are away in the African Nations Cup.
Conte has the look of a man that believes his team is ready to reclaim the title, and why not? Eden Hazard and Diego Costa have been in outstanding form, tormenting the best defences in the league and scoring 23 between them.
Mr Chelsea himself, John Terry, is unavailable for the game after his red card against Peterborough; and Bournemouth are rumoured to be enquiring after the former England skipper. Let’s see how that pans out.
But come Saturday tea-time in Leicester, I don’t think it will be the Chelsea defence which is overworked. Leicester’s rearguard has struggled somewhat with the tighter penalty box regulations this season.
And that won’t have gone unnoticed in the Costa household.
